A spiritless mountain. A shaman climbs up and holds a ritual in a cave to recall
the spirits that were once there to protect and nourish the mountain. The spirits
hear the sound of the ritual from the cave. They wander around the mountain in
search of the cave, following the vibrations. The shaman tries to invite them in.
The spirits enter the cave one by one. They are slowly filled with memories – some
Good and some sad. Then they realize why they had to leave the mountain. She gives
them a moment to remember and sings about their memories until they are ready to
negotiate with her. Then the spirits find a channel to fly into the shaman’s body and
soul. The spirits enter her body like a strong wave and completely possess her soul. The shaman consoles to their emotions of happiness, horror, desperation, and sorrow.
When she reaches the peak of their sorrow she collapses.
Through the ritual the shaman feels her body is full of the spirits, who are healed and freed from their sorrows by the shaman. Then she releases them back to the mountain. The spirits return high into the mountain and cover themselves in its own layers.
The layers of spirits unite with the ritual sounds in harmony and create a magnificent white mountain. This is the legend of White Mountain.
